Money Stress – Don’t Let It Drag You Down

I’ve seen stress about money get in the way of the success of more people around me than anything else.  Being in a negative state of mind unfortunately prevents us from reaching our full potential, and I’ve found that more often than not, money is the thing that puts people in a negative state of mind.

Our modern capitalist society gives people a false sense of need.  We’re constantly exposed to media, and content.  This content tells us what they want us to buy, and the more we consume this content, the more we believe we need the newest car, the newest cell phone, and other new items to make us feel successful, and look successful to those around us.

The first thing to focus on is to live within your means.  If you can’t live within your means and understand that you don’t need the nicest, newest version of everything, then you’re heading down the wrong path.  If you can spend your time in a social circle of people in a similar financial situation to you.  If you spend your time with more affluent people, then you’re more likely to spend in excess to try to keep up.

If you can focus on saving money properly, and automating these savings so you don’t have a choice, and then spending within your means for the rest of the period until your next paycheque, you’ll begin to build a cushion.  The larger this nest egg or cushion gets the better you’ll feel about your finances.  If you don’t have to stress about your finances, then you’re more likely to be able to stay focused on the end goal.

More on saving, budgeting, and finances to come soon.

Great Things Never Come From Within The Comfort Zone

Its been said time and time again, that nobody has ever achieved greatness within their comfort zone. This rings true in almost all facets of life. Whether you gauge your great success in life on your career, your finances, your personal life, or your health and fitness, you’ll never achieve greatness in any of these facets by sticking within your comfort zone. Making mistakes and failing is what allows us to learn and better ourselves along the road to Success. If you never leave your comfort zone, you never take risks, if you never take risks, you minimize failure and in turn you minimize your ability to learn. If you can’t learn, you’ll never possess the knowledge and skills needed to truly be successful.

Get out of your comfort zone, if you’re shy, talk to new people. If you’re out of shape and self conscious, try exercising, whatever getting out of your comfort zone means to you, try it. Once you get out of your comfort zone, you will make mistakes, you will fail, and if you treat these failures as a learning experience and learn rather than getting discouraged, you’ll be closer to success on the next attempt, and the next after that. Doing this over and over again, trying, failing, and learning is what allows us to inch towards success, bit by bit, until we’ve accomplished something we can truly be proud of.

Now, go on and pursue your Climb to Success.

What does 2019 mean to you?

Happy New Year Everyone! Welcome to 2019.

With a New Year comes new opportunity. Opportunity to look ahead and change our circumstances, and opportunity to learn from the mistakes of our past years. You don’t have to be the same person that you were last year, you can be whoever you want to be this year. Be who you want to be this year. If you can imagine yourself achieving something this year, and you can visualize this goal enough to turn it into a burning desire within your soul, then you can make great headway to achieving this goal this year. If you aspire to something great this year then I guarantee it won’t be an easy year. Nothing that is worth achieving in life though is never easy. My advice for 2019 is Find what you want, tell yourself that every single day once you know what it is, and work your ass off to achieve it.

Whatever your goal is, you CAN achieve it, but only if you’re willing to work for it, and visualize yourself as already achieving your goal.

Whether you believe you can, or you believe you can not, you’re right!

Stress. Driving Force or Crushing Pressure?

How does stress affect the way you function? How can you harness it to turn it into a tool to make you invincible? Some of of thrive under pressure and some of us crumble. Stress is something that everyone faces. We all have things going on in life that stress us out, deadlines, commitments, friends and family, and money.

Stress is some cases leads to anxiety, a growing problem with today’s younger generation. Millennials specifically are constantly stressed about living in the shadow on Gen X and the Baby Boomers. Constantly stressed about living up to high expectations, and more often than not stressed about money.

Let’s start with an easy one.

STOP WORRYING ABOUT ANYONE ELSE. YOUR FIRST PRIORITY HAS TO BE YOU.

If you can’t put yourself first then that’s a problem. Putting yourself first is the first step in commanding your stress. If you can’t believe in yourself, and don’t believe what you’re doing is enough. Then you expect too much, which will always leave you worrying about what you’re doing. When I do something with the best of my ability, I accept that I’ve done my best, but in the future I will be able to do better. I don’t doubt what I’ve done now, but I do know I can always learn to be better. This is the first step to commanding your stress.

The same goes with money stress. If you worry about you, and stop comparing yourself to everyone else, I guarantee you’ll be a hell of a lot happier. Focus on what you need, what makes you happy, not on things that make other people think higher of you. You don’t need things to make others happy, only to make yourself happy.

Focus on this and I promise, you’ll handle your stress better!
